The scanner supports media from 20 to 465 g/m², including envelopes, passports, plastic cards, booklets up to 7 mm thick, and fragile or bound originals using the integrated flatbed.

Built for high-volume workgroup environments, the fi-8290 scans up to 90 pages or 180 images per minute through its 100-sheet automatic document feeder.
