The RICOH fi-7700 is designed for organisations that require high-volume document capture while maintaining the flexibility to scan bound, fragile, or irregular originals. Combining a high-speed automatic document feeder with an integrated A3 flatbed, it supports a wide variety of document types in production and back-office environments.

The scanner processes up to 100 pages per minute or 200 images per minute in duplex mode and supports documents from A8 to A3, folded A1 documents, long documents, plastic cards, envelopes, and paper weights ranging from 20 to 413 g/m². Mixed document batches can be scanned without extensive preparation, helping improve productivity and reduce manual handling.

Its straight paper path provides reliable transport for a wide range of media. A selectable non-separation mode allows thick documents, folded originals, envelopes, and multi-layer document sets to be scanned safely. Skew Reducer technology helps prevent one misaligned sheet from affecting subsequent pages, while the Paper Protection function monitors document movement and automatically stops feeding when irregularities are detected.

The fi-7700 features a flexible design with an automatic document feeder that can slide to either side and rotate up to 180 degrees, allowing users to configure the scanner to suit their workspace. The integrated A3 flatbed enables the capture of bound books, fragile originals, passports, and thick documents, even with the document cover open. An LCD display provides quick access to scanner status and operating information, while independently adjustable side guides help maintain accurate document alignment.

Supplied with the PaperStream platform, including PaperStream IP and PaperStream Capture, the RICOH fi-7700 integrates easily into professional document capture workflows and can also be configured and managed remotely from a workstation. By combining production-level performance, flexible media handling, an integrated flatbed, and advanced paper protection, it is well suited for government organisations, healthcare providers, financial institutions, administrative departments, and other environments with demanding document digitisation requirements.
