The RICOH fi-7460 is designed for organisations that require reliable, high-speed document capture in a compact desktop scanner. Supporting documents from A8 to A3, as well as folded A2 and A1 documents, plastic cards, and mixed media, it provides the flexibility needed for a wide range of business workflows.

The scanner processes up to 60 pages per minute or 120 images per minute in duplex mode and features a 100-sheet automatic document feeder for continuous batch scanning. Mixed document batches can be scanned without pre-sorting, helping improve productivity and reduce preparation time. Additional documents can also be added during scanning without interrupting the capture process.

Advanced paper handling technologies help ensure reliable document transport. Intelligent Sonic Paper Protection (iSOP) uses acoustic sensors to detect irregular paper movement and reduce the risk of document damage, while Skew Reducer technology helps prevent one skewed document from affecting subsequent pages. Together with the brake roller mechanism and independently adjustable side guides, these features support consistent scanning across a wide variety of document types and paper weights from 27 to 413 g/m².

The integrated LCD display provides quick access to scanner status, settings, paper counters, and predefined scanning profiles created with PaperStream Capture. The fi-7460 also includes PaperStream IP for image enhancement and Scanner Central Admin software, allowing multiple scanners to be managed and maintained remotely from a central location.
