The RICOH fi-70F is designed for organisations that need to capture small documents quickly in customer-facing and space-limited environments. Its ultra-compact flatbed design makes it suitable for counters, reception desks, service points, and other workspaces where documents need to be digitised while the customer is present.

The scanner captures A6 black-and-white or greyscale documents in as little as one second at 200 or 300 dpi, while colour documents can be scanned in approximately 1.3 seconds at 200 dpi. This makes it suitable for passports, identification cards, driving licences, prescriptions, and other personal documents that need to be processed quickly.

With a footprint of approximately 14.5 × 23.4 cm, the fi-70F can be installed where desk space is limited. It can also be powered via USB when access to a mains power supply is restricted, providing additional flexibility for different working environments.

A dedicated scan button allows users to start predefined scanning processes directly from the device. The removable cover also allows documents to be scanned with or without the lid, supporting straightforward handling of different originals.

The RICOH fi-70F includes PaperStream IP and PaperStream Capture for image enhancement and document capture. Its compact design and fast scanning make it suitable for healthcare facilities, financial institutions, hotels, airports, embassies, government offices, reception areas, and other environments that regularly capture small personal documents.
