InoTec SCAMAX 8x1®
The InoTec SCAMAX® 8x1 is a high-volume production scanner for continuous document capture and sorting. Available in three models, it delivers up to 300 sheets per minute and up to 600 images per minute in duplex mode.
Designed for large-scale scanning environments, the series combines sustained throughput, onboard image processing, flexible document separation, and optional high-capacity input and output systems.
The InoTec SCAMAX® 8x1 series is designed for organisations that need sustained, high-volume production scanning in a space-efficient floor-standing system. Built for continuous 24/7 operation, it is suitable for document-processing centres, digitisation service providers, archives, and other environments handling large daily volumes.
Available as the InoTec SCAMAX® 801, 811, and 821, the series scans from 160 to 300 sheets per minute in A4 landscape orientation. In duplex mode, this provides up to 600 images per minute. Actual throughput depends on factors including paper size and condition, computer configuration, and the scan application.
Perfect Document Technology provides onboard image processing, including gamma correction, deskew, cropping, dynamic binarisation, multistreaming, blank-page detection, automatic colour detection, and content-based rotation. Documents can also be separated through the rear output tray using patch codes, counters, document length, and 1D or 2D barcodes.
Optional configurations support continuous high-volume workflows. A dual input system provides up to 2,000-sheet capacity, while the dual output system supports automated stacking and sorting. The height-adjustable design, 9-inch multitouch panel, and high-speed stacker arm help operators maintain efficient, controlled processing throughout longer scanning shifts.
