The Image Access BookTEK 5 V1A-C35/C50 is designed for libraries, archives, museums, cultural institutions, and digitisation service providers handling large and exceptionally thick bound materials. Its motorised book cradle is available in 35 cm and 50 cm lifting-height configurations, with an upgrade path from 35 cm to 50 cm through a software key.

Operators can scan with a fixed glass plate, without a glass plate, or in automatic mode. In automatic mode, sensors in the book cradle control pressure while motorised components manage the scanning process. This reduces repetitive manual work and supports consistent handling during high-volume projects.

The scanner supports output to USB devices, network resources, SMB, FTP, printers, and hot folders. Available file formats include PDF, PDF/A, JPEG, TIFF, and multipage files. A 27-inch 4K preview screen supports image review, while compatibility with Batch Scan Wizard, BCS-2, and Goobi UCC enables integration into professional digitisation workflows. It is designed to meet FADGI, Metamorfoze, and ISO 19264 image-quality criteria.
