The Image Access BookTEK 5 V3 is designed for organisations that need a compact, professional solution for digitising books, bound documents, and other materials in smaller workspaces. Its desktop format supports regular scanning and copying workflows in libraries, archives, offices, and cultural institutions.

The scanner is available in Basic, Kiosk, and Professional configurations. The Basic model provides core scanning functionality, while the Kiosk version adds Scan2Pad for mobile-device operation through a Wi-Fi hotspot. The Professional version offers resolution up to 600 dpi and a client interface for integration with third-party software.

Its book cradle supports 180° flat scanning and 120° V-shaped scanning for materials that should not be fully opened. Magnetically coupled cradle sides can be adjusted to position the book fold consistently. A 21-inch Full HD multitouch screen provides operation and image preview, while an additional matrix camera supports live positioning.

The BookTEK 5 V3 supports PDF, PDF/A, JPEG, TIFF, and multipage files. It is designed to meet FADGI 3-star, Metamorfoze Light, and ISO 19264-1 Level B image-quality criteria.
