The i2S SupraScan Quartz A1V Series is designed for libraries, archives, museums, cultural heritage institutions, and digitisation centres working with fragile books, bound materials, and valuable documents. Available in A1V and A1V HD configurations, the series provides flexible support for originals that require different opening angles during capture.

The book cradle can be adjusted between 90° and 120°, allowing fragile or tightly bound documents to be digitised without opening them fully. A dedicated book holder and suitable glass plate support the material during capture. For documents that can be opened flat, the scanner can also be used with a standard glass plate for scanning at 180°.

This flexibility allows organisations to work with a wider range of collection materials while adapting the scanning setup to the condition and binding of each original. The camera systems are designed and produced by i2S for professional digital imaging and image processing.

The SupraScan Quartz A1V HD supports digitisation workflows aligned with ISO 19264-1 Level A, Metamorfoze Full, and FADGI 4-star requirements. This makes the series suitable for preservation-focused projects where careful document handling, flexible book support, and recognised image quality standards are important.
