The i2S SupraScan QUARTZ 2A0 HD is a large-format overhead scanner for oversized documents, paintings, drawings, and other valuable works. High-resolution capture, controlled lighting, and a motorised table support detailed digitisation while limiting handling of delicate originals.
The i2S SupraScan QUARTZ 2A0 HD is designed for museums, archives, libraries, cultural heritage institutions, and digitisation centres working with oversized, valuable, or delicate originals. It supports the capture of paintings, drawings, historical works, glossy materials, and other large-format objects at an optical resolution of up to 800 × 800 dpi.
Specialised lighting and imaging functions support the capture of challenging materials. Relief enhancement helps reproduce surface details and textures in works of art, while the glare control system reduces reflections when digitising glossy or reflective originals, including materials protected by transparent packaging.
A motorised table with vertical movement simplifies the positioning of large and delicate objects. The table supports items weighing up to 100 kg and provides a scan depth of up to 100 mm, allowing the system to accommodate a wide range of originals.
The scanner is accessible from three sides, while the position of the controls, scanning process, and lighting system are designed to support operator comfort during regular use. Quiet operation and an accessible software interface further support professional production environments. The SupraScan QUARTZ 2A0 HD supports digitisation workflows aligned with FADGI and Metamorfoze preservation imaging guidelines.
