i2S Copibook VShape Series
The i2S CopiBook V-shape Series includes A1 and A2 book scanners for digitising fragile and valuable bound materials. A 120° V-shaped book cradle, controlled glass pressure, and dual-camera capture support careful handling, detailed imaging, and productive digitisation workflows.
The i2S CopiBook V-shape Series is designed for archives, libraries, museums, and cultural heritage institutions that need to digitise fragile, valuable, or tightly bound books. Available in A1 and A2 configurations, the system keeps materials in a 120° V-shaped position to reduce the need to open bindings fully during capture.
Two 71-megapixel EAGLE cameras provide simultaneous capture of facing pages, with resolutions of 600 × 600 dpi for 2 × A3 and 400 × 400 dpi for 2 × A2. Controlled lighting helps prevent reflections between opposite pages, while the V-shaped glass plate reaches into the book gutter with less than 2 mm of information loss.
A motorised book cradle and automatically moving glass plate support semi-automatic operation. Automatic book centring, adjustable glass pressure, pressure sensors, smooth glass edges, and hand-presence detection help combine productive scanning with careful handling of original materials.
USB 3 connectivity supports fast data transfer, while automatic calibration and an intuitive software interface simplify daily operation. The CopiBook V-shape Series supports digitisation workflows aligned with ISO 19264-1, Metamorfoze Light, and FADGI 3-star requirements, making it suitable for preservation-focused projects where both image quality and careful handling are important.
