i2S Copibook Open Systems Series
The i2S CopiBook Open Systems Series includes A1 and A2 book scanners for large-scale digitisation of books, newspapers, maps, and other large-format materials. Configurable camera, book cradle, and software options support different cultural heritage and archive workflows.
The i2S CopiBook Open Systems Series is designed for archives, libraries, cultural heritage institutions, and digitisation centres managing large projects involving books and oversized documents. Available in A1 and A2 configurations, the series supports the capture of newspapers, maps, thick books, and other materials requiring professional overhead scanning.
The A2 model uses the E-XTRA camera with TrueColor technology and an optical resolution of 600 dpi, while the A1 configuration provides an optical resolution of 400 dpi. Both are designed to capture detailed images without moiré patterns. Depending on the configuration, the series supports digitisation workflows aligned with ISO 19264-1 Level B, Metamorfoze Light, and FADGI 3-star requirements.
The Open Systems concept allows organisations to select the camera, book cradle, and software interface according to their project requirements. LIMB Capture can be used to manage image capture and support productive digitisation workflows.
By combining configurable hardware with professional image capture capabilities, the CopiBook Open Systems Series can be adapted to different collection types and project volumes.
