Its space-efficient design makes it suitable for customer service desks and counters where available workspace is limited.
The CR-150 scans up to 150 cheques per minute and supports a daily duty cycle of up to 12,000 scans. Its 150-sheet automatic document feeder enables larger batches to be processed with less manual intervention, supporting demanding transaction and cheque capture workflows.
For accurate data capture, Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) reads cheque code line information, while OCR technology reads characters from the scanned image and cross-checks the results. Duplex scanning captures both sides of each cheque, with black-and-white, greyscale and colour output at resolutions up to 300 dpi.
A built-in imprinter allows endorsement information to be added to the back of cheques during scanning. It can print up to five lines of 60-character text as well as bitmap images without reducing the overall cheque scanning speed.
Canon Scanning Utility, ISIS/TWAIN drivers and the Ranger Transport API support integration with existing cheque processing systems and virtual device environments. The Canon CR Software Development Kit also provides options for developing customised integrations for specific payment processing and document capture workflows.
